Natural Resources

Charmaine is a graduate student pursuing her MS in Natural Resources, with a focus in Outdoor Recreation. She is working in Dr. Lincoln Larson’s and Dr. Caren Cooper’s labs, studying the impacts of citizen science participation on wildlife conservation behaviors through the platform of Candid Critters. The Candid Critters citizen science project uses camera trapping as a tool to generate scientific data on local mammals in North Carolina, while simultaneously engaging the public with wildlife research. Before becoming a student at NC State, Charmaine received her BS in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Florida, with a focus in Human Dimensions.
