Jason Delborne

I explore and analyze efforts to integrate stakeholder and public engagement into the governance of emerging biotechnologies. Current projects address the genetically engineered American chestnut tree, gene-drive rodents to control invasive species and protect biodiversity, gene drive insects for controlling agricultural pests, the potential for biotechnology to address forest health, and the intersection of synthetic biology and conservation.
