Research Technician and Lab Manager

Applied Ecology

One of my favorite jobs as a scientist is engaging others in the process of science and sharing excitement over new knowledge and insights. For the most part, this manifests itself as (1) overzealous conversations about ant biomimicry at dinner parties, and (2) through my work playing various roles on Citizen Science projects in the Dunn Lab (whether as Coordinator, Data Manager, Visualizations Expert, or simply, Expert Envelope Stuffer).  Among these project are The School of Ants Project, The Belly Button Biodiversity Project, The Sourdough Starter Study, The Showerhead Microbiome Project, and a few others. Additionally, using data visualization and photography, I strive to present science in accessible and engaging ways to the general public.
