Crowd the Tap is an EPA-funded project to engage citizen science volunteers in creating an inventory of water pipe materials nationwide. Researchers with Crowd the Tap will use information about tap water pipes to estimate the risk of lead-in-tap-water in order to identify potential high-risk areas. We are recruiting an undergraduate volunteer assistant from ANY major for three key tasks: creating an online directory of EPA-certified water testing facilities in each state, compiling a list of DIY lead tests and filters, and preparing associated materials for the website.
